No Creature is Hidden from Him

Terrifying or comforting.

There is no in between when it comes to thinking about God — His presence, His magnificence, His splendor and wonder in the heavens; and at the exact same moment — the one where we think of Him as He is, not how we want Him to be — where we come face to face with just how much not like him we are.

And yet, He comes to seek and save the lost.

And as Christians, we have been given the Word. Truly the Holy Bible is given to all of mankind, but it is only those who are being saved (1 Corinthians 1:18) who are able to love this word that has been given to us. The writer of Hebrews says of the Bible…

“the Word of God is living and effective and shaper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the seperation of soul an dpsiirt, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. No creature is hidden from him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give an account” Hebrews 4:12–13.

Whether we like it or not, there is no surgeon in the world who will ever be able to divide soul and spirit the way God’s word can. There is no creature on the planet who will ever be able to peer into our thoughts and intentions the way that God does when we read the word.

In many ways, while we read the Bible, it in fact reads us — shows us our motives, heart’s desires, and reveals sin in our lives.

There is truly no other written word that compares to God’s living word.
